Tom Treumuth is a seasoned music industry professional with a distinguished career in production, artist management, and label operations. With decades of experience, he has played a pivotal role in the success of numerous gold and platinum-selling artists.
Career Highlights:
•Early Career & Production:
Tom began as a musician with True Myth, signed to Warner Bros., and co-produced the band’s debut album with legendary producer Jack Richardson (The Guess Who, Bob Seger). His production credits span 10 gold and platinum albums, including Honeymoon Suite’s four-time Platinum debut and three Platinum records for Helix, whom he signed to Capitol Records.
Additional credits include Autograph, The Spoons, and Big Sugar’s gold-certified 500 Pounds—reissued by Jack White’s Third Man Records, who praised it as “the best blues-based album to ever come out of Canada.”
•Artist Development & Writing:
As head of a US RCA-affiliated production company, Tom co-produced Canadian rock act Gypsy Rose working closely with Gene Simmons( KISS) and was later as a result of co writing songs for the album signed to BMG as a songwriter.
He then discovered and developed artists such as INDIO signed to A&M in the US, the Breit Brothers to RCA US and also Canadian rapper Kazzer to Epic/Sony US whose hit Pedal to the Metal gained international exposure through The Italian Job, Malcolm in the Middle, and multiple video games and sporting events.
•Label Operations:
Founder of Hypnotic Records, Tom partnered with Universal Music and international distributors to release over 100 albums by artists including Anvil, Voivod, Nightwish, Accept, Razor, Big Sugar, Chris Spedding, Kataklysm, and Philip Sayce. He also achieved a #1 pop hit with Whoot, There It Is via Ichiban Records.
•Management & Industry Roles:
Tom has managed and co-managed artists such as Honeymoon Suite, Lee Aaron, and US platinum rock band Steelheart. He later served as Co-Managing Director of Frostbyte affiliated with Universal where he signed the Headstones and Matthew Good.
Tom during his time at Frostbyte also worked as a booking agent at Live tour artists for theaters and festivals.
•Education & Media:
A former instructor at Trebas Institute in Toronto, Tom taught Music Industry Contracts.
He currently hosts The Talk Music Podcast, distributed globally via #1 hosting company Acast, and has recently returned to artist management.
